In Which: It's November? Time to PANIC!!

EEK! Halloween has passed, and we are officially in November. Just six or seven weeks away from the end of the school year and The Big Move..The Haynie Migration. Really, though. Four of out of 6 of the Haynie children are moving within six months. That's 2/3 of the kids making pretty big moves in a short amount of time. And then if you consider that both of my sisters moved to Arizona over the summer, people are just going willy nilly! Who said we could all do this? Why couldn't we all stay in one place where we belong?

In my defense, I am moving closer to where I belong. The good ol' West Coast. The PNW. Why aren't more people following my excellent example? Well, Jared and Baylee are probably moving FAR FAR AWAY (Not sure if I should advertise where in my blog, since it's not official yet), Natalia and Landon just bought a house (hooray!), Shannon and Brady also just bought a house (and a PUPPY! They are in Washington, so they are on the right track), Solangie and Chris are moving to Boise in April, and Scott and I are going to Salem! And then, of course, when Toph graduates this summer, he will probably go somewhere far away on his mission. Like I said: The Haynie Migration.

Anyway. Since that has been happening, we have been trying to spend a little extra time with Jared, Baylee and the nieces before we no longer live in the same state. It has been really fun, and a little sad if I think about not seeing them for two years.

Okay, well to catch you up, I survived the end of comp week, and the following week of horrible testing. And to reward me for all of my hard work, my body decided to give me a cold. How kind! Just in time for Friday's test and my presentation--the one day of the whole semester that I would have liked to be healthy. As it was, I came to school on Friday a little feverish, and gave my presentation and took my tests in a fever haze. I think I did pretty well, considering.

Let's backtrack just a little bit to Stephen Merrill's Halloween Murder Mystery party. It was a blast! Unfortunately, I was pretty burnt out because it was on Friday (the 24th) evening after all of my tests, so by the end of the night, I was very ready to go home. But that is the hallmark of a good party, right? I mean, I hear this from people who actually go to parties--It's only good if you have to go home and sleep it off. Anyway, if any of you have ever been to a murder mystery, or planned a murder mystery, you know that it can kind of go either way on the lame-to-awesome scale. They are difficult to plan, and even trickier to execute. And Stephen and the twins did an awesome job. People were in character, it was fun, and people were able to solve the case.

Aren't these pictures fun? (My costume was a gypsy, by the way. It was great except that my vest turned my underarms blue when I started to sweat.) I bet you can spot us in the group picture. Scott's costume makes us pretty easy to find.

Also, I have been trying to catch up with some of my college friends and past roommates before I go. Felicia, Cara and I have been having a series of Disney movie nights. Nicole came to one of those, and we also had lunch the other day--which was really great. I needed some one-on-one girl talk with her! (She is dating the awesome kid next to her in the photo--third row back on the right.) I really hope we can be PNW friends someday soon!

Anyway. It is now time for me to get ready for the day and the new week of school. Off to the races! (And the shower.)
