In Which: I go on North-Westy adventures with my favorite people!

Laura and I have been having a blast reconnecting and going on adventures!
We have four years of long-distant friendship to make up for, so we are cramming everything possible into the next 5 days.

On Saturday, we went exploring at Kline Line trying to find Stephanie's caves. We didn't find them, but we found this large tree that had fallen down, and I found an overly friendly stinging nettle that wanted to hold hands with me. Ouch.

Laura, conquerer of tree roots

Since then, we have been on adventures which have included encounters with zombies, the stuga, burritos, pizza party with the Fearsome Foursome, Cuban sandwiches, gourmet microwave baking, Mr. Bean, and the fabulous game 7 Wonders!

Yesterday, my mom and Meghan good-naturedly offered to take the hour long drive down to Salem, Oregon with me. Scott and I will be moving there in 6 months! We found the hospital where I will be doing my internship, then scouted out apartments in the surrounding areas. We found some possibilities for Scott and me to look at on Friday morning during scouting session #2.
He gets to Vancouver TONIGHT! Yippee!

Along our travels in Oregon, we discovered that Frank Lloyd Wright's Gordon House was recently relocated from Wilsonville to Silverton--the town we were currently driving in. We took a quick detour from the search for my dream home to look at one of the most economically efficient houses ever built--FLW designed it for a family making $5-6,000 per year. Too bad he can't build one for me!

Mom and Meghan walking around the back of the house for a different vantage point. Tours had just finished for the day.

Simply beautiful

I think that is all for now! Today we are planning to pack and get ready for the beach, so I have some laundry and folding to do... Not really blog-worthy.
